Employee Spotlight: Richard Dimaio, General Manager

Our Employee Spotlight series takes the opportunity to highlight members of our team and to give a glimpse into our culture and what it’s like to work at Instawork. To highlight the diversity of our team, we’ve asked Richard Dimaio, General Manager, to share more about his experience working at Instawork. 

What do you do at Instawork and how long have you been with the company?

I’ve been at Instawork since the early spring of 2018. I started in business development as the very first sales person. I then became a Sales Manager, an Account Manager, and now the General Manager. I manage the team of account managers and regional managers.

What initially attracted you to Instawork? 

The absolutely unique opportunity to contribute to a company that is changing the face of work. We have a direct impact on our Pros and Partners by creating greater economic opportunities for them.

What's your favorite part of your job?

Working with some of the smartest people on the planet.

What is one piece of “work from home” equipment you couldn’t live without? 

Slack! The ability to communicate 24/7 with our global team is priceless. That and my filled coffee cup.

What's the most important thing you've learned since starting at Instawork?

I’ve learned that a team working together, on a very hard problem, can make magic happen and do so quickly.

In 10 words or less, how would you describe the culture at Instawork?
