Keith Chapman joins Instawork as General Counsel

We’re excited to announce that Keith Chapman will be joining Instawork as General Counsel in January 2021. He’s the latest to join the leadership team since Mark Wallace, CFO, in July.

Keith will be starting during a vital stage at Instawork. The pandemic accelerated the need for flexible labor by both businesses and today’s workforce. And throughout this year, we continue to hear from many Instawork Professionals that they value choosing how they earn an income so that it can fit around their individual circumstance.

Keith shares, “Instawork is growing a platform across multiple staffing specialties, and bringing economic opportunity to more people on their own terms. We need to apply a sophisticated understanding of worker classification as it evolves in a 21st economy that allows folks to choose flexible opportunities and earn what they need, but how and when they want to work.”

Keith brings deep expertise in legal policy and litigation related to worker regulation, as well as a commitment to social justice. He most recently spent four years at Postmates, where he grew the legal team and established company policies that are informing today’s public discourse on the gig economy. Prior, he worked at Littler Mendelson, a leading labor law firm, and at the NYC Commission on Human Rights. He graduated from Rutger University School of Law and Davidson College. In his free time, he enjoys playing the guitar, traveling, and impromptu dance parties with his two children.

Welcome, Keith!
