“There is a labor shortage across America, as businesses are struggling to find and hire employees. Well now, an app that connects businesses with hourly workers has become indispensable during the pandemic,” host Norah O’Donnell said.
Correspondent Carter Evans spoke with Liraz Birnbaum, CEO of Lula’s Garden — a Los Angeles-based succulent gifting company and Instawork Partner — to learn how Instawork’s flexible staffing platform has helped her business grow. After having difficulty hiring workers amidst the Great Resignation, Birnbaum turned to Instawork to help her fulfill orders during the busy holiday season.
“You don’t need to deal with [paychecks], that’s the best part,” Birnbaum said.
Instawork Pro Chester Lemon mentioned how he appreciates the platform too.
“Do you ever see yourself having a regular nine-to-five job again?” Evans asked him.
“It’s going to be hard right now because I've gotten so used to [Instawork], when you know you can just make money tonight, tomorrow,” Lemon replied.
